Drillstring Dynamics Calculator (DDC) is a PC application
to assist the user in extending the working life of the drill stem by
predicting the rotary drilling speeds that cause resonance - i.e. high
amplitude vibration - which could lead to a fatigue failure in the form
of either a "Washout" or a "Twist-off" DDC is a versatile
tool that has many uses, including:
Drill stem vibration may result in non-optimal drilling conditions, which could result in inefficient drill bit cutting and this could affect ROP - and damage the drill bit (see Figure 3). Low ROP and additional bit trips increase capital costs (CAPEX) of the well. Predicting drill stem vibration and drilling at "safe" drilling speeds could increase both ROP and bit life.

Petroleum Toolbox is an integrated Windows-based software
poackage designed to meet the needs of petroleum and production engineers.
Petroleum Toolbox contains 10 functional modules all integrated with one
easy-to-use interface.
The modules include: Nodal Analysis - A multiphase
pipe flow program providing tubing and flowline calculations and the ability
to perform perforation / completion analysis. Also provides most multiphase
flow calculations, together with back-oil fluid property correlation's
used in the industry today. The program is tightly coupled with Excel,
and allows multiple tubing strings and flowlines to be modeled, and both
inflow, outflow and inflow/outflow calculations to be performed.
Well Test Analysis Program
- Designed specifically to make pressue transient diagnostic tests easier.
Features free format data import, interactive estimates of reservoir parameters, deliverability analysis and gradient survey graphing. Users can generate log-log or semi log analysis plots and estimate well and inflow/outflow reservoir properties. Black Oil PVT - Uses as input
the oil, gas and water gravities at Standard Temperature (STP) or
Stock-Tank conditions; as well as the Gas-Oil and Water-Oil Ratios. These data can be saved to file and retrieved for convenience. Also calculates all the main black-oil properties of your fluid in table and graph format. Economic Projections - Contains MICA, an easy-to-use petroleum economic evaluation software package.
Log Analysis - A cost effective and practical tool for real time, interactive analysis of both old log suites and the latest generation of logging measurements. Spreadsheets database and graphic features allow both rapid interaction and comparative evaluation of multiple interpretations or best case/worst caseextremes. In addition, multiple wells and zones are easily managed. Pipes Database - Contains complete datanases of API-5D drill pipes. Fluid Properties - Contains a database of gas and liquid physical properties & energy reference values. Units Conversion - Contains over 400 conversions for English, metric units, and international (SI) standards. Drawing Module - Visio Technical with drag-and-drop ease and a pre-integrated set of down-hole petroleum engineering templates or shapes for design. Regulations and Reporting Forms Library:
Calculations Utilities - 35 spreadsheets covering
gas lift design, artificial lift method, beam pump design, gas flow, IPR
calculations, oil well hydraulics, cementing, and other production-related
utilities. Pipeline Toolbox - Gas is the latest release of the
popular integrated software package. It has been designed specifically
for gas pipeline professionals, and is based on ASME B31.8 standards.
Pipeline Toolbox -Gas contains all the functional engineering modules
present in previous versions, plus many new modules and added enhancements.
It is designed to increase the productivity and efficiency of the user
by providing him with all the "tools" to solve day-to-day pipeline
design, analysis, maintenance and related engineering problems.
Pipeline Toolbox - Gas consists of 24 separate modules
supporting gas pipeline engineering, design, analysis and maintenance
requirements. Each of these modules contain separate programs, and together
provide more than 75 assorted software engineering tools for the pipeline
engineer, manager and technician.
Pipeline Toolbox - Liquid is a NEW release of our popular integrated software package that has been designed specifically for crude and liquid product pipeline professionals. The software is based on ASME B31.4 standards, and contains many of the functional engineering modules and utilities present in previous versions. Pipeline Toolbox - Liquid is designed to increase the productivity and efficiency of the user by providing him with a suite of "tools" to solve day-to-day pipeline design, analysis, maintenance and related engineering problems. Pipeline Toolbox - Liquid consists of 25 separate modules
supporting crude and products pipeline engineering, design, analysis and
maintenance requirements. Each of these modules contain separate programs,
and together provide more than 75 assorted software engineering tools
for the pipeline engineer, manager and technician.
Pipeline Toolbox Enterprise is the most comprehensive
suite of Pipeline software tools on the market. It is designed for those
engineers who work with both gas and liquid/product pipelines and contains
all the program modules present in both the Pipeline Toolbox liquid and
gas versions. Pipeline Toolbox - Enterprise is designed to increase the
productivity and efficiency of the user by providing him with a suite
of "tools" to solve day-to-day pipeline design, analysis, maintenance
and related engineering problems.
Pipeline Toolbox - Enterprise consists of 28 separate
modules supporting crude and products pipeline engineering, design, analysis
and maintenance requirements. Each of these modules contain separate programs,
and together provide more than 90 assorted software engineering tools
for the pipeline engineer, manager and technician
A PC software program that is used by pipeline operators to evaluate the remaining strength of externally corroded pipe. RSTRENG was initially released in 1989. It was enhanced in 1993 with options added to make the software more versatile and user-friendly. Technical Toolboxes has redesigned the RSTRENG user interface and upgraded the software to an intuitive, 32-bit program that will run under all Windows9x/NT/2000/XP platforms. Pipeline operators are required under 49CFR192 and
49CFR195 to use
either the RSTRENG or ASME/ANSI B31G criterion to evaluate remaining strength of corroded pipe. RSTRENG V3.0 is the latest version of the RSTRENG software. It will work on all Windows-based PCs and allows the user to use any combination of English or Metric units. It also includes all supporting RSTRENG technical research documents in PDF format. Detailed features include: Ability to import data from Excel© Windows 2000/XP compatible Electronic searchable library of technical reports including: A Modified Criterion for Evaluating Remaining Strength of Corroded Pipe Database of Corroded Pipe Tests Continued Validation of RSTRENG English/Metric (SI)/User defined units. Ability to change pipe data on calculation page as needed.
